A Great Resource for Mindfulness

Many of you who read Talk Therapy regularly have heard me talk about mindfulness and its benefits in therapy and life. I’m happy to say that I’ve recently come across a fantastic resource for anyone interested in mindfulness and would love to share it! Some of you may have heard of Tara Brach – she’s a psychologist and meditation teacher who does a fabulous job bridging the gap between the two. Her book, Radical Acceptance, is a personal favorite and one that I recommend often to clients.

Tara also leads weekly dharma talks at a Unitarian church in Maryland. And – lucky us – they have about a year’s worth of archived talks available for FREE download or listening. Each talk has a about an hour of “lecture” followed by a topic-specific meditation that you can follow at home as a guided experience. My wife and I have started working our way through them over the past month or so. Here’s the link: http://www.imcw.org/audio/audioarchives.html

I hope that some of you may enjoy this as much as we have!

Jeremy
