Here’s a link to Dan Siegel’s “Neurobiology of We” audio series. I’ve been listening to this over the month or so, and it just blows my mind. He speaks in depth about the connection between attachment styles, relationships, and brain functioning. Maybe most importantly, he talks about how relationships can be healing, even for those who exhibit the less secure styles of attachment.
I’m working on a full post on interpersonal neurobiology, but I wanted to get the link up in the meantime. I think it’s great for therapists and non-therapists alike; he speaks in a very accessible and down-to-earth manner that makes neurology understandable even for those of us who don’t have intimate working knowledge of brain structure and function. Check it out if you have some time.
